French Provincial Kitchen, Earlwood

Kitchen Projects

Our clients asked for a traditional french provincial kitchen that’s easy-to-entertain-in and worthy of a magazine shoot – and the end product did not disappoint. Residing in a lovely traditional style, older home in an established Sydney suburb these clients commissioned Badel Kitchens to design and construct a kitchen in line with the style and intricacy of the existing residence’s architecture and featuring the opulent details and finishes that are a signature of classic french provincial kitchens.

Badel designed the upper cabinet display doors to mimic the home’s window and door designs. Considering the client’s passion for cooking, functionality was also of the utmost importance. An oversized, undermount sink was incorporated in the island’s marble countertop. Elegance and a sense of grandeur are created by soaring coffered ceilings and cabinets that meet magnificent ornate cornices. This home’s historic appearance was preserved using a typical, provincial profile.

Custom stepped 40mm and 60mm Quantum Quartz Calacutta Primo benchtops and an enormous porcelain apron sink with classical faucets contribute to the ambience. White and antique silver knobs and conventional handles were used for the hardware. Upper glass cross-hatched cabinets soften the cabinetry line and enable the display of cherished things. Two magnificent chandeliers hang over the island in perfect harmony with the completed kitchen, completing this great space.
